This place is so cute!! We were walking by and had to stop to see the cute bears! My girls loved the rainbow cupcakes! I got the s’mores cupcake and it was 10/10, so good!! My husband is a celiac, so I was also excited to see all the gluten free options! We bought two GF cupcakes and they were delicious! The owner noted that they can make anything GF with advance notice, which was nice to hear! Honestly, a lot of GF cupcakes are NOT good, so this was delightful! :-)

Omg 🤩 this place is quite the new spot in the Gaslamp. What a unique variety of delicious eats and an outstanding staff and customer service to go with it! I tried a couple of samples the first time I went in- peanut butter brownie & one of the chocolate chip cookie sandwiches… both were incredible (my friend snagged 4 samples 😂 while we were there). I ended up going home with a piece of apple pie (off the chain) and a new cupcake 🧁 they were just “trying out”… a gluten-free, sugar-free cream cheese frosting carrot cake that was OMG 😱 insanely good! I hope it’s makes the permanent list of cupcake options because it deserves it- absolutely 💯 incredible! Thank you so much Sugar Bear for making every time special and truly unforgettable.

Sugar Bear makes some great bombolonis. I specifically had the Boston Cream Bomboloni filled with custard and topped with a decadent chocolate ganache. They also offer a nutella, apple pie, and raspberry cheesecake filled bomboloni. The bomboloni was not only delicious but had a terrific texture as well. The chocolate ganache on top was exceptional. It was thick and rich but not overly sweet. The custard inside was tasty, too. I really liked the soft texture of the Italian doughnut. They also offer pies, cookies, cake-pops, brownies, cinnamon buns, and coffee. Coffee is self served and of good quality. Service was very upbeat and friendly. Great dessert place.

We were walking by after breakfast and this place was just too cute not to stop in! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by, what I presume to be, the nicest manager who told us everything they were offering along with specials. We got a very tasty Boston crème donut (east coast represent) and a free coffee along with it.

Walked-by and couldn’t resist the aroma. Staff was very welcoming. Tried the truffle sample and bought an eclair. Just the right amount of sweetness. Will start trying their other items whenever I’m downtown.

We were in San Diego on vacation and decided to try a cupcake after dinner. The cupcakes here are out of this world. They have creative flavors of both cupcakes and donuts. The staff here were extremely friendly during our visit.

Everything looks delicious, the brownies are absolutely decadent, and the manager, David, is the absolute NICEST PERSON EVER!!! Can’t wait to try every single thing. A totally welcome addition to the neighborhood!
